Filmmaker Bio: Aaron Hands On Films
In June of 2000 I moved, along with my wife, to Anacortes, WA to begin work as a wilderness guide. We have called it (and Leavenworth, WA) home ever since. My time in the Northwest has allowed me to explore the rugged beauty of the Cascade mountains, its whitewater, and the varieties of people that exist throughout it. Through my guiding people in the wilderness, and being dad to my kids at home, I've had the honor of experiencing the power of people's personal stories.
The creativity and improvisation skills of the mountains laid a natural path into videography, and the opportunity to be apart of communicating people's stories to our culture. My certifications with the AMGA, PCIA, and as a whitewater raft instructor have also allowed me the inside track in working with outdoor adventure clients.
More than anything, I see video production as a means of storytelling, and it is my honor to help tell the stories of these young adult cancer survivors.
Our Mission
To help young adult survivors of severe illness or injury identify, process and apply life lessons through adventure activites.
