July 19-25, 2020: The Canadian Rockies are one of the most beautiful wilderness areas in Canada, and people come from all over the world to climb its stunning limestone peaks. During this expedition, you will take part in many mountain adventures, including roped rock-climbing, silent lakeside reflection time, and evenings filled with stories, laughter, and connection.
Who: This trip is open to any young adult cancer survivors between the ages of 18 and 40ish, and one of their supporters.
Where: Canmore, Alberta, Canada
What: A perfect mix of adventure and serenity, in the most beautiful mountain settings. Professional mountain guides will teach us everything we need to know to get climbing in a safe and fun environment. Evening campfires, lakeside solo time and a surprise activity on the final day mean this will a trip like none other!
When: July 19-25, 2020
Cost: $400. This includes accommodation, food, equipment, mountain guides, and transportation to & from Calgary, AB to Canmore, AB. If cost is an issue for you, please consider applying for our Julie Crawford Memorial Scholarship. We’re also happy to help you come up with fundraising ideas!
- Each participant is responsible for their travel to and from Calgary, AB. We will meet everyone in Calgary at 3:00 pm on July 19th and then drive out to our cabin in the mountain town of Canmore, AB. Transportation back to Calgary will be provided on the morning of July 25th.
